Recently I had the opportunity to go to the Butterfly House to photograph a special Chrysalis. The small chrysalis was about an inch long and had a metallic appearance. One of the Entomologists walked around with me and found the perfect places to hang the little guy (or gal). I ended up with about half a dozen images I was happy with.
I had one chosen to be the poster image for the Metamorphosis Gala at the Butterfly House this June. I went today and photographed the poster hanging in the House.
